SuperCar Racing
The American SuperCar Challenge race rules are intended to maintain the street legal status of supercars entering race competition; with the fundamental understanding that supercar racing is not just about how fast you go; it’s about how you go fast, with a street legal American supercar.

Invitation To Race
This race series serves as an invitation to all hardcore Corvette and Viper enthusiasts to demonstrate the level of performance that they can ultimately achieve in the American SuperCar Challenge. This is the supreme supercar race that will help to determine the real performance capability of these American supercars. The American SuperCar Challenge will also serve to showcase the talent and skill of the owners, drivers, tuners, engine builders, performance shops and race teams that are in competition to be the quickest, fastest and victorious in each class of supercar racing.

Rules to Race
All races will use a starting line Pro Tree .500 light which requires both racers to leave at the same time when the green light goes on. The cars in this race series are allowed limited engine and suspension modifications. For qualifying and race format of American SuperCar Challenge refer to General Rules.

Race Categories
This heads-up drag race series will consist of 3 different classes, in order to offer a range of racing opportunities for the mild to the wild supercar performance enthusiast.

Original Street – Minimum 12.50 Second Elapsed Time
Genuine Street – Minimum 11.50 Second Elapsed Time
Extreme Street - Street Legal & No Index Limits

A full 32 car class to race will pay
$1000.00 to win,
$500.00 for 2nd place,
$300.00 for 3rd place and
$200.00 for a fourth place finish.

Original Street Class
The Original Street Class is intended for naturally aspirated Supercars that maintain the original exterior appearance of the car and preferably with the use of factory wheels.

This class offers “heads up” drag racing for naturally aspirated street legal supercars that use production based engine technologies, an independent rear suspension and street legal D.O.T tires. Aftermarket wheels are allowed but production wheels are preferred.

The performance range for the Original Street Class is intended for cars that have mid 12 second elapsed time capabilities with maximum elapsed time performance limited to 12.50 seconds. Racing to an elapsed time lower than 12.50 seconds is prohibited and will result in elimination.

See the Race Rules section for more specific rules regarding the Original Street Class.

Genuine Street Class
The Genuine Street Class is intended for naturally aspirated and power adder equipped street legal Supercars that use production based engine technologies, an independent rear suspension and street legal D.O.T tires.

The performance range for this class is intended for supercars that have mid 11 second elapsed time capabilities with a maximum performance limit set at 11.50 seconds. An elapsed time that is lower than 11.50 seconds will result in elimination from competition.

See the Race Rules section for more specific rules regarding the Genuine Street Class.

Extreme Street Class
The Extreme Street Class is the maximum performance category for street legal Supercars where you bring what you got and hope it’s enough to blast off as fast as you can in a supercar.

This race category is intended for power adder equipped street legal Supercars that use production based engine technologies and an independent rear suspension with street legal D.O.T tires. Minimum weight for car & driver is 3300 lbs.

The cars competing in this class will require the necessary NHRA or IHRA safety equipment to run faster than 9.9 second elapsed times.

See the Race Rules section for more specific rules regarding the Extreme Street Class.
